Former Ambassador Garza joins ViaNovo - San Antonio Business Journal:

Garza will advise clients on high-stakes policy and management issues and also chairthe firm’s new businessa enterprise, ViaNovo Ventures — which partners with companies, investors and private equity funds on an entrepreneurialo basis to help them achieve their businesd goals. “Tony’s got a brilliant politicakl and business mind and a stellare track record in the public andprivatw arenas,” says Matthew Dowd, a foundinhg partner of ViaNovo.
“He has a deep understanding of the Latinp market and its impact on businesas and politics on both sides of the Independent of his work with Garza also announced that he has accepted a positioj as counsel toWhite & Case, a premierer global law firm. He says he will work with both firms as a wayto “provide comprehensive multi-jurisdictional strategy and counsel” to clients in the U.S. and Latinb America. “Too often I’ve seen companiez in the U.S. or Latin America move acrosws borders without the necessary combination of aggressivelegakl representation, cultural know-how and communications strategh that is vital for long-term success,” Garzz says.
ViaNovo has offices in Austin; Dallas; D.C.; Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico. Garza served as U.S. Ambassadore to Mexico from 2002 to 2009 and previouslyg held statewide and local elected and appointed officexin Texas, including chairman of the Texasz Railroad Commission.
