Ski Country said that in-state resort visits were up 2.5 percengt over last year, as Front Range residents took advantags of bargains and stayed closer to home to keep down vacationm andrecreations costs. Ski areas operated by Broomfield-basex aren’t members of Ski Country. Those resort include Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek and Keystone. Vail Resorta last week said its total skier visits at all itsresortss — including Heavenly in California-Nevadwa — were down 5.3 percent from the previoues season.
